Allah has promised to those among you who believe and act righteously, that He will surely make them Successors (khalifas) in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion, which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely grant them security and peace in place of their fear. (Holy Quran: 24:56)
1. Hazrat Abu Bakr
Hazrat Abu Bakr was born in 573 A.D in Mecca, Saudia Arabia. His truthness and honesty earned him the title of "As-Siddiq"(The Truthful). He was the first man to accept Islam. When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was migrating to Medina, Hazrat Abu Bakr was the only companion who accompanied him. He was given permission to lead the prayer while Prophet (PBUH) was alive. He was one of the 10 blessed Sahaba's (companion of prophet) to whom the Holy Prophet(PBUH) had given the glad tidings that they had been rewarded the Pradise.
Prophet(PBUH) said "Verily, Abu Bakr is best of human beings except the Prophets".
